| Frequently Asked Questions What kind of lettering is this? These are pre-spaced letters, cut to perfection by computer technology. The letters press on to your wall or any other smooth surface. The letters are equivalent to approximately 2-3 layers of paint, which gives you a hand painted look without the time or mess. Your lettering will arrive pre-spaced on a sheet of transfer paper, which you then press to your desired surface, peel back the paper and only your lettering remains. You can choose to cut each individual word or letters and place them in an endless variety of personalized ways. How do I know what size I will need? Before placing your order, measure the area that you will be applying your vinyl words to. If you are placing a quote on a large wall with a great deal of empty space, be sure to order lettering that is large enough to be seen and read. If you are considering 4” lettering for a wall that has 6’ by 10’ of empty space cut out a few pieces of paper 4” tall and hang them on the wall to see if they will be easy to read. We measure letters from the top of the tallest character (such as capital T) to the bottom of the lowest character (lower case y). Fonts: Not all fonts are created equal. 6” letters of one font will not have the same length as 6” letters of another font even if the quote is exactly the same. Can I customize my own lettering? Yes you can! This lettering can be customized to your specifications. You can choose the font, color and size of lettering from our variety of choices. You can personalize your lettering, with a favorite quote, original poem, family name etc… The possibilities are truly endless, so get creative or check out our gallery for more ideas. Are there surfaces where this lettering won’t work? This lettering will adhere well to almost any smooth surface like painted walls, mirrors, glass, smooth metals or plastic. This lettering does not work well on rough or uneven surfaces like stucco or masonry. Is the lettering removable? Yes it is! The lettering is easy to remove with a pair of tweezers or just use your fingernails to gently pry up the corners and remove the lettering from your surface. If you have had the lettering on your surface for a long time use a hair dryer on a low setting to soften the letters before removing. How soon will I receive my lettering?
